The upcoming full Moon on Monday afternoon, August 19, 2024, at 2:26 PM EDT, brings with it a myriad of celestial events and vibrant cultural celebrations. It's a Supermoon, a Blue Moon, and is known by many other names such as the Sturgeon Moon, Red Moon, Corn Moon, Green Corn Moon, Barley Moon, Herb Moon, Grain Moon, and Dog Moon. Additionally, it coincides with the festivals of Raksha Bandhan or Rakhi Purnima and Tu B'Av.

As a Supermoon, this full Moon will be one of the biggest and brightest of the year.
